Food Forests Are the New Veg Gardens

The other day I picked some black huckleberries and blueberries from roadside shrubs. Dare I say it, huckleberries may be even more delicious than blueberries. But both definitely taste better for being foraged.

In fact — and speaking of entrées — Forested will be hosting a couple of “Food Forest Feasts” this autumn. One on September 17 and the second on October 22. I’m looking forward to participating in the September gathering and would be delighted to see any DC-area Bees’ Kneesers there!
